Okay… I may have outdone myself on this one.
If you’ve been following my journey, you know I eat cottage cheese bowls all the time. They’re easy, they’re filling, and they keep me from rummaging through the pantry an hour later looking for a snack.
Usually I throw in walnuts, a little honey, and a banana.
Today, I looked at my banana… and then I looked at a KiZE Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bar sitting on the counter.
The KiZE bar won.
So I chopped it up, tossed it in, and hoped for the best.
Y’all…
It was SO good.
Honestly, that’s one of the biggest things I’m learning through this whole health journey. Eating healthier doesn’t have to mean eating boring food.
When I got my Rythm results back and found out my LDL cholesterol and free testosterone were elevated, I knew I wanted to make changes. But I also knew I wasn’t going to survive on grilled chicken and broccoli for the rest of my life.
That’s just not realistic for me.
Instead, I’ve been making little changes that I can actually stick with.
More protein.
More fiber.
More foods that keep me full.
More meals that I genuinely look forward to eating.
Because if I’m going to make this a lifestyle, it has to be something I enjoy.
Will every meal be perfect?
Nope.
Will I still have pizza sometimes?
Absolutely.
But if I can make one healthier choice today than I did yesterday, I’ll take that as a win.
This cottage cheese bowl definitely earned a spot in the rotation.
Now tell me…
What’s one food you’ve tried recently that completely surprised you?
